Shed 5 was offering a lunch deal at the time which seemed pretty appealing; A choice from a selection of mains accompanied by your choice of beer, wine or prosecco. So we walked in and was soon seated at a lovely table overlooking the Yarra River.
JT ordered a Pheonix (beer) and I asked for a glass of prosecco. I’ve never tried prosecco before and loved it. It was similar to drinking a sweet champagne, but less bubbly.
The Mezze plate I ordered comprised of really strong flavours of sweet and sour (pickled vegetables), saltiness and bitterness (olives) which was tamed with the chickpea dip and bread. I really enjoyed being able to combine all these flavours together or to eat separately as I pleased.
The toasted flatbread it was a simple and delicious. The quality of the ingredients used; the cheese and the proscutto were superb.
Lunch at shed 5 offered delicious food and beautiful surrounds - it was the perfect way to end our busy morning.
